MobiScribe WAVE - 彩色版

Upon receiving device I noticed there were defective pixels and emailed company with photos. It’s been 5 days and they still have not responded, I cannot find a phone number listed to call to follow up.

For some reason the unit I ordered arrived without the cover, I submitted an email requesting an update and Mobiscribe has not replied.

I used to use an Origin up to now.

What I like in particular about the Wave is the larger screen, the possibility to add links between notes and that the cover is now detachable and no longer glued to the device.

I don't like the reduced contrast of the display. The background of the page is very dark in comparison to the Origin's screen. The colours are a novelty and I have yet to find a case where colour offers a real advantage over the monochrome version.

I really miss the capability to import and use the notes from the Origin. The Wave simply says that the version does not match and that there will be problems using the imported notes on the Wave. Indeed there are problems, the worst so far being that longer notes are just cut off after a few pages. That's not useable.

I set the language to German. Some of the texts in the GUI and the messages are simply ridiculous, but most can be understood after some thinking about what they probably were meant to say.

Other than that, I am quite content with the Wave and it is going to be my main note-taking device for some time. It's my third MobiScribe. Actually, it's the fourth. The third is broken and the pen suddenly stopped working.

Je n'ai pas encore découvert tout ce qu'elle recèle mais j'adore ma nouvelle liseuse-bloc-notes-agenda, en couleurs et d'un format très pratique : ni trop grande, ni trop petite, suffisamment légère pour être emportée partout !

I am chronically disorganised with paper and I wanted a device that would allow me to read and make notes. I wanted a device that would fit in my handbag and I could easily carry it around from the meetings to the train and to the playground. After 2 weeks of testing MobiScribe definitely ticks those boxes. PROS:
- smooth writting experience with possibility to use color pens to highlight on the go
- possibility to dowload apps in google Playstore
- sufficient battery life and fast charging
- a sturdy case and good pen is part of the package - very good portability

CONS
- missing user manual (or I have not found it yet)
- patchy performance of dowloaded apps (e.g. OneNote)
- not possible to combine different template pages in one notebook (it would be nice to have e.g. a check list on page 1 and then blank page on page 2...)

Overall, I am happy with my purchase! And I hope that the CONS will get tackled in the future updates.
